Programs
Crisis Intervention Program
Our Crisis Intervention Workers provide 24-hour support to the women and children in Shelter, as well as to people who phone our Crisis Line.
Outreach Program
Our Outreach Program consists of three projects: Outreach, Follow Up and Prevention / Education. All programs are free of charge and offer non-judgmental support. Services are available regardless of family status, however, risk assessment may be completed to ensure staff safety when visiting a client's home.
Childcare Program
Our Childcare Program is family focused, individuaized, with the goal of enhancing and maintaining the spiritual, physical, emotional and social well-being of the family. This program facilitates a pre-school program and respite child care for women when they are in need of appointments.
Volunteer Program
Volunteers are a fundamental component of the Camrose Women's Shelter. The program is very flexible to fit your areas of interest and schedule.
School Program
The School Program offered at the shelter is operated by the Battle River Regional School Division. We have a certified teacher for grades K-9, which follows the Alberta Curriculum. As the class size is small, the teacher is able to implement an individualized program for each student.
